  SHORT RESUME
Muhammet
G. ERDEM was born in İzmir. He graduated from Ege University Computer
Engineering Department in 1995 and completed his master's degree in 1997 in
the same department. He then started his doctoral studies at Ege University
U. Bilgisayar Institute and completed his education in 2004. He started his
academic life as Assist.Prof.Dr. in the same year.
In
April 2012, he successfully completed his publication and oral exam stages
and was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Computer Science with
registered keywords of Computational Sciences/AI/Machine Learning/Computer
Vision branches). He used this title at Ege University until December 2018.
As
of January 2019 at Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBU), he has continued to
work with the same title to the Department of Computer Engineering. He gained
Prof.Dr title in 2022 at MCBU.
Prof.Dr.ERDEM's
main scientific studies are as follows: Machine learning, artificial neural
networks, deep learning and computed vision.
Prof.Dr.ERDEM,
who mainly works on medical image processing and smart transport systems, is
the founding member of the academic research team ComVISLab (Computer Vision
Lab) and is an active academician (L0) worker of the team. Besides he is Senior Member of IEEE.
